Yahoo Fantasy Basketball Top 100 (As of November 30, 2010)

Manu Ginobili ranks high in Yahoo Fantasy

Aside from my ESPN Fantasy League, I also have a Yahoo Fantasy League. The difference between the two leagues is that my ESPN league hands out a system that combines PBFANTASY rules and things that were agreed by the involved GM’s.

The Yahoo league is more fixed. It uses the Ranking System. For example, we have six teams. If I am first in terms of scoring, I’ll get six points (because we have six teams). Now do this with rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, field goal percentage, and three point percentages. For small league, movement could be less than stellar but for a big league?

It’s kinda scary.

My Yahoo team, The Wazakramento Kings (same name as my PBFANTASY squad... I wonder how’s it been doing now) ranks tied for third. It sucks because I am first in rebounds and second in assists but is insanely lacking in other departments... most specifically in FG% and 3FG%!!!

In terms of the rankings, here are the Top 100 players of Yahoo Fantasyland.

Yup, this is a different ballgame. For example, Rajon Rondo could be a steals and assists threat, but Rondo is not a good three point shooter and barely tries to connect on triples. But still, the constants are there with Pau Gasol and Chris Paul up top.

Manu Ginobili? The guy is a good scorer with a nice shooting touch anywhere in the court. Sure he doesn't rank much in some formats but there is no question that he gets the minutes and the action to back it.

Let’s see how awesomely I can get back and pull myself up top.

Game over!
